Maro Makashvili was a young Georgian student and Red Cross volunteer who died near Kojori during the 1921 Red Army invasion of Georgia. Her diary gives a personal view of life in the First Georgian Republic — full of thoughts about freedom, study, literature, women’s independence, and Georgia’s future.
This design is part of Giovanni Morra’s “Georgia Is Yours” collection. It uses the visual language of Maro’s diary, handwritten notes, and early Georgian independence symbols to turn a passport holder into a small reminder of personal and national freedom.
