As a child, nature at night felt frightening. Trees, flowers, and paths that seemed familiar during the day changed shape after dark — everything became larger, stranger, and uncertain.
One evening, during a solitary walk outdoors, I lost track of time and night fell around me. The darkness that had once felt frightening suddenly became a space. The outlines of leaves, the movement of branches, and small red flowers created an entirely different silhouette in the night. Little by little, fear was replaced by observation.
This feeling became the basis for “Night Garden” — an ornament about darkness that is no longer frightening. Here, the black background is not emptiness; it is a space where forms slowly appear. In this design, beauty does not reveal itself immediately — you need to look at it a little longer.
