The “Lega Magnolia” ornament is inspired by the botanical motifs found on the 17th-century kulaja of Shalva, Eristavi of Ksani.
A kulaja was an outer garment made from precious cloth, worn by noblemen over the akhalukhi. The ornament on such clothing was not only decorative — it also reflected the taste, status, and dress culture of its time.
In this design, the floral details from the kulaja are made lighter and clearer. The character of the historical garment is preserved, while the ornament takes on a cleaner, more contemporary form.
