The “Gulisstsori” ornament is inspired by the embroidery motifs on the attire of Queen Rusudan of Imereti, depicted in the Gelati frescoes.
On royal clothing, such ornaments were not used only for decoration. Color, form, and repeated embroidery reflected status, the taste of the period, and the ceremonial character of the garment.
In this design, the royal ornament is no longer read only as a sign of status. The name “Gulisstsori” gives it a more personal meaning — a quiet reference to a connection that is not spoken directly, but still understood.
